India-UAE flight ticket prices stay high, Kochi trips cost the most
Flight ticket prices between India and the United Arab Emirates are still higher than usual, even though travel is slowly getting back to normal. April is usually a quiet time for travel between these two countries. But this year, ticket prices are about 30 to 35 percent higher than normal. Travel experts say this is mainly because fuel costs are high and there are not enough flights available.
In the past, some tickets cost as low as Dh300 to Dh400. Now, one-way tickets are mostly between Dh1,300 and Dh1,800. This means many people are still paying much more than before. Return tickets are also expensive. On many routes, travelers are paying between Dh2,000 and Dh2,500. On busy days, prices can go even higher.
Even with high prices, many people are still traveling. There is strong demand both from the UAE to India and from India to the UAE. One big reason for high prices is that not all flights have returned yet. Fewer flights mean fewer seats, and this pushes prices up.
Many travelers are also choosing big airlines like Emirates and Etihad Airways because they trust these airlines more. As a result, economy seats sell out quickly, and sometimes only expensive seats are left.
Not all cities have the same ticket prices. Flights to Mumbai and Delhi are cheaper, with some tickets between Dh1,000 and Dh1,500. But flights to Kochi are much more expensive. Some one-way tickets go above Dh2,000. Return tickets to Kochi can reach as high as Dh4,114, especially around early May.
Travel experts say prices may not drop soon. In fact, they could rise again in June when school holidays begin and more people plan to travel. For now, travelers are advised to book early and check different dates to find better prices.
