Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, chaired a Cabinet session in Riyadh on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia’s Dedication to Serving the Holy Mosques

At the beginning of the session, HRH the Crown Prince expressed gratitude for witnessing the blessed month of Ramadan. He emphasized the Kingdom’s honor in serving the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for all pilgrims and visitors.

Strengthening Diplomatic Relations

HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on recent diplomatic communications, including messages received from:

  • Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev
  • President Azali Assoumani of the Union of the Comoros

Additionally, he updated the Cabinet on his discussions with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun during his official visit to the Kingdom. Their talks focused on strengthening Saudi-Lebanese relations, addressing regional challenges, and supporting stability in Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia Supports Lebanon’s Stability

The Cabinet emphasized the importance of the joint statement between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, which called for:

  • Full implementation of the Taif Agreement
  • State sovereignty over all Lebanese territories
  • Exclusive possession of arms by the Lebanese state
  • Strengthening the role of the Lebanese Army
  • Withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Lebanese land

Saudi Arabia’s Stance on Palestine

The Cabinet reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s full support for the Extraordinary Arab Summit, “Summit for Palestine,” held in Egypt. The Kingdom strongly rejected the displacement of Palestinians and called for:

  • An end to the humanitarian crisis caused by war
  • The Palestinian people’s right to self-determination
  • The establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital

Additionally, the Cabinet condemned Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid to Gaza, urging the international community to take action and ensure the continuous delivery of essential supplies.

Supporting National Development and Social Welfare

Domestically, the Cabinet reaffirmed the government’s commitment to social services and housing initiatives. It praised the cooperation between government bodies, private businesses, and non-profit organizations in achieving the goals of the Jood Regions campaign.

The Cabinet also reviewed key development projects, including the opening of the first phase of the Sports Boulevard project in Riyadh, which aims to enhance the city’s status as one of the most livable destinations in the world.

  6. Cybersecurity
    • Headquarters agreement between Saudi Arabia and the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers.

    • Agreement with Brunei Darussalam to enhance aviation cooperation.
  8. Tourism Promotion
    • MoU between the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Jordanian Tourism Promotion Authority.

    • Agreement between the Saudi General Authority for Competition (GAC) and Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

  • Agreement between the Saudi Presidency of State Security and Iraq’s National Intelligence Service to combat terrorism and its financing.
