Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Health has finished the fourth Inherited Blood Disorders Summit 2026 in Riyadh after three days of meetings and expert talks. The event took place from February 5 to 7 under the patronage of Health Minister Fahad AlJalajel.

The summit brought together doctors, researchers, and health leaders to discuss inherited blood diseases and better ways to treat them. It also supported the Kingdom’s plan to improve healthcare services and research under Saudi Vision 2030.

Officials organized the summit to build stronger national care plans for patients with hereditary blood disorders. In addition, the event helped experts share knowledge and new medical ideas. Sessions also focused on gene therapy and precision medicine, which give patients more accurate and modern treatment options.

During the meetings, speakers stressed the need for one connected care system. This system links early diagnosis, proper treatment, and regular follow-up. As a result, patients can receive faster and more organized care.

Experts also highlighted the importance of prevention and early testing. Because of early detection, doctors can reduce health problems and complications. The summit also promoted national care pathways and best medical practices across Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, the ministry said the Kingdom continues to grow as a leading scientific and regulatory hub in the field of blood disorders. The summit helped connect local and international experts, decision-makers, and health partners. It also supported medical research and innovation to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
