AL AIN: Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra, and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, visited the very first Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition at ADNEC Centre Al Ain. The event will run until November 30 and is organised by ADNEC Group and the Emirates Falconers’ Club.

During their visit, the two leaders walked through the exhibition halls and learned about new hunting tools, falconry equipment, camel and horse sports items, saluki dogs, adventure and safari gear, as well as traditional arts, crafts and camping supplies. They also met teams from local and international companies who explained the new technologies and tools made for people who love traditional Emirati sports.

The leaders said that this new exhibition is an important addition to the Al Ain events calendar. They noted that it celebrates the UAE’s rich culture and helps make Al Ain a top place for heritage and special events, especially after it was named the Gulf Capital of Tourism 2025.

They added that the strong support of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in protecting Emirati heritage and traditional sports is a major reason why events like this succeed. This support helps young people stay connected to the country’s identity and values.

The exhibition has received praise for its excellent organisation and for attracting a large number of exhibitors from the UAE and around the world. It is becoming known as a place where Emirati traditions meet new ideas in hunting, horse riding and camping.

Many officials joined the visit, including Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group.

This first edition of the exhibition brings together 873 exhibitors and brands across 24,000 square metres. With participants from 12 countries, the event helps companies share knowledge and build new partnerships. Local Emirati exhibitors make up 88 percent of the event, while international companies make up 12 percent, giving strong support to national businesses in hunting, equestrian, camping and traditional sports.

The exhibition includes 11 main sections, such as arts and crafts, 4×4 vehicles, outdoor sports gear, camping supplies, falconry, camels, horses, saluki dogs, veterinary tools, environmental and heritage projects, mobile homes and safari experiences.

More than 20 live shows and heritage competitions are also taking place. Visitors can enjoy a traditional cooking contest with the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, an Arabic coffee making workshop, and a hospitality competition. There will also be the famous Al-Yowla dance and the traditional sport Al-Tabbah, giving guests a fun and interactive way to experience Emirati culture.
