Hamdan bin Mohammed Launches ‘MyDubai Communities’ Platform to Strengthen Social Bonds

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched a new platform called ‘MyDubai Communities’. This digital hub connects residents, citizens, and visitors through shared interests, activities, and events.

The platform is an evolution of the successful #MyDubai initiative, which began in 2014. That campaign encouraged people to share their experiences in Dubai and helped showcase the city’s vibrant lifestyle and diverse culture.

A New Digital Gateway for All Communities

Available at mydubaicommunities.com and promoted on Instagram and TikTok (@mydubaicommunities), the platform brings people together through over 100 interest-based communities. These range from fitness and wellness groups to arts, culture, and professional networks.

Importantly, the launch supports the UAE’s declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community. This nationwide theme encourages unity, inclusion, and active participation in society.

Connecting People Through Shared Passions

The goal of the platform is simple: bring people together. Whether you’re a sports enthusiast, an artist, a parent, or someone seeking professional connections, there’s a community for you.

So far, the platform connects over 3.85 million residents from nearly 200 nationalities. Users can explore events, join groups, and even create new communities in just a few clicks.

Putting People First in Dubai’s Vision

Sheikh Hamdan stressed that Dubai’s strength comes not only from its architecture or economy, but from its people. The new platform reflects the city’s vision of building a society based on belonging, well-being, and shared experiences.

He added that every project in Dubai puts happiness at the center. The MyDubai Communities initiative is part of this people-first approach.

Supporting Dubai’s Social and Economic Goals

The platform aligns with Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to make Dubai one of the top three cities in the world for quality of life. It also supports Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which promotes sustainable growth and innovation.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, praised the platform. He said it offers a direct way for people to explore Dubai’s rich community life while helping the city grow as a global hub for living, working, and tourism.

What You Can Do on the Platform

  • Discover your tribe: Find communities that match your hobbies, culture, or career.
  • Join events easily: Attend runs, workshops, car shows, reading clubs, and more.
  • List your community: Add your group to the platform in under five minutes.
  • Stay connected: Follow updates on social media and through the website.

The platform’s clean and user-friendly design makes it simple for everyone to get involved. It’s fast, interactive, and focused on real connections.

MyDubai Communities reflects Dubai’s vision to be not only a world-class city but also a place where every person feels connected, inspired, and included. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, there’s a place for you to belong.
