Google Introduces Gemini Advanced & Gemini Mobile App in Arabic
In a significant move towards inclusivity, Google has launched Arabic support for its mobile app for Gemini, its multimodal artificial intelligence model. Users worldwide can now access this feature through a dedicated app for Android devices or within the Google app on iOS.
Najeeb Jarrar, Google’s regional marketing director for the Middle East and North Africa region, expressed excitement about the potential of generative AI to enhance productivity and creativity. With access to Gemini on mobile, users can expect increased efficiency in complex and collaborative tasks.
Access to Advanced AI Models
The app provides access to Gemini 1.0 Pro for free and Gemini 1.5 Pro with a Google One AI Premium plan. The 1.5 Pro model excels at complex tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, and collaborating on creative projects.
Users can seamlessly access other Google apps and services through extensions launched this year. These services include real-time flight and hotel booking information, location-based data from Google Maps, and content summaries from Google Docs or Gmail.
Continued Development and Expansion
Google’s commitment to enhancing AI capabilities in Arabic extends beyond the Gemini app. Arabic support for new AI features announced at Google I/O 2024 is expected to be added soon.
The introduction of Arabic support for Gemini reflects Google’s dedication to serving diverse linguistic communities. It enables users to interact with AI in their preferred language, fostering greater accessibility and usability.
Expanding Possibilities in AI
Google’s ongoing efforts to advance AI technologies open up new possibilities for users in the Middle East and beyond. As interest in AI grows in the region, Google remains committed to expanding features and services in Arabic to cater to user needs.
