Global Women Forum: From Dialogue to Action: Connecting Women and Youth Across Europe and MENA

Following its growing engagement across Europe and the Arab world, the Global Women Forum (GWF) المنتدى العالمي للنساء is moving from dialogue to practical action: creating spaces where women and young professionals can connect, learn, exchange expertise and access new opportunities across borders.

Founded by the EITEP Euro Institute for Information and Technology Transfer in Environmental Protection, GWF works at the intersection of women, youth, energy, technology, STEM, digitalisation, leadership and intercultural cooperation.

Bringing Women and Youth to the Table

In recent months, GWF has strengthened its engagement across the Mediterranean region.

The Forum was part of the Civil Society Academy in Tunisia, bringing together civil society actors, professionals and changemakers from across the Mediterranean. The programme created an important space for exchange between Germany, Europe and civil society organisations from Arab countries.

GWF contributed its perspective on the role of women and youth in shaping future societies, economies and professional opportunities, with a clear message: women and young people should not only be present in the room, but have a meaningful place at the table.

The experience also reinforced GWF’s role as a bridge between European and Arab networks, particularly in areas where skills development, professional visibility, leadership and cross-cultural cooperation are increasingly needed.

From Events to Practical Skills

GWF is now expanding its activities beyond forums and conferences.

The organisation is launching a portfolio of online and in-person workshops and professional trainings, designed for both organisations and individuals. Topics include leadership, career development, communication, digital and AI skills, STEM, cultural intelligence, professional visibility and working across European and Arab markets.

The objective is practical: to provide skills and connections that participants can use in their careers, organisations and communities.

Companies, institutions and individual professionals will be able to engage with GWF through tailored workshops, training programmes and collaborative formats.

Preparing for Berlin 2027

One of the next major activities is being prepared for April 2027 in Berlin, where GWF will bring together women and professionals from the energy sector from MENA and Europe as part of the wider international business and technology programme taking place in Berlin.

The programme will create a dedicated space for exchange between women leaders, industry professionals, technology experts and the next generation of talent.

With energy security, the energy transition, digitalisation and new technologies reshaping the sector, GWF sees the connection between talent, women and youth as an essential part of the conversation.

Responding to Regional Needs

GWF is also developing its future workshops and activities around the concrete needs emerging across MENA, North Africa and the wider Mediterranean region.

Through its international network, the Forum is engaging with companies, institutions, professionals, civil society organisations and other stakeholders and is increasingly invited to contribute to discussions where Europe–Arab cooperation, skills development, women’s participation and youth opportunities intersect.

The focus is not simply on creating another event. It is on building long-term connections, practical skills and opportunities for cooperation between people and organisations on both sides of the Mediterranean.

Building the Next Chapter

Under the leadership of Chairperson Rana Alnasir-Boulos, GWF is developing into a year-round platform combining forums, workshops, professional training, mentorship, networking and international cooperation.

“GWF is about creating the space, opportunity, skills and visibility for women and young people to shape their own professional future and contribute to the sectors that are transforming our world.”

From Tunisia to Brussels, and from Berlin to the wider MENA region, the Global Women Forum is building a growing network that connects Europe and the Arab world through women, youth, knowledge and action.
