Riyadh: The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, said that the Arabian Music Conference was created to support the growing needs of music in the Arab world. He explained that the conference is a place where experts come together to study and understand different kinds of Arabic music.

Alalshikh said it is very important for everyone working in music to cooperate so they can record and save the old Eastern singing styles, called maqams, in one clear and organized way.

The conference aims to protect the identity of Arab music by connecting it with modern academic study. It also works on building a complete Arabic guide for maqams and rhythms. By doing this, the event hopes to keep Arabic music strong, well-documented, and respected around the world.
