Rabat: The Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation (FNRC) and the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) have signed two new cooperation agreements with Morocco’s National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM). The goal is to work together in energy, oil, gas, and mining.

The signing took place during the Crans Montana Forum in Rabat, Morocco.

The first agreement between FNRC and ONHYM focuses on teamwork in science and technology. Both sides will share information about minerals and geology, train experts, and work together on research projects. This partnership will help both countries use their natural resources wisely and protect the environment.

Engineer Ali Mohammed Qasem, Director General of FNRC, said that this partnership supports Fujairah’s plan to build strong international ties in energy and mining. He explained that sharing knowledge with Morocco will help both countries grow their economies and manage natural resources in a smart and sustainable way.

The second agreement between FOIZ and ONHYM is about improving cooperation in oil, gas, and renewable energy. Both sides will share ideas on building better infrastructure, using advanced technology, and making petroleum operations more efficient.

Captain Salem Al Afkham, Director General of FOIZ, said that this agreement shows Fujairah’s goal to grow as a world center for oil storage, trade, and energy development. He added that the partnership with Morocco is based on learning from each other and building a strong and green future together.

These two agreements highlight Fujairah’s vision to expand its global presence in the energy and mining sectors. They also support the emirate’s goal to become a leading hub for oil, gas, mining, and renewable energy in the region.
