FIFA Starts 2026 World Cup Countdown Celebrations in Toronto, Mexico City and Los Angeles

ZURICH: FIFA has officially launched the countdown celebrations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with special concerts taking place today in three host cities Toronto, Mexico City, and Los Angeles.
The events mark the start of the excitement for the biggest FIFA World Cup ever. The 2026 tournament will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada and will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026. For the first time in World Cup history, 48 national teams will compete for the title.
FIFA also announced new artists joining the concert line-up. In Toronto, Canadian rock band The Beaches will perform. In Mexico City, famous Italian singer Andrea Bocelli will headline the celebrations. In Los Angeles, pop star Ava Max and rapper BIA have been added to the entertainment program.
The concert series is being organized with support from the Grammy Foundation. FIFA said the shows will feature artists from the official 2026 FIFA World Cup album, surprise guest appearances, and live interactive segments connecting audiences in all three cities.
Fans can still buy tickets for the concerts as excitement continues to grow ahead of the tournament’s opening match. FIFA also confirmed that the celebrations will be streamed live through its official digital and online platforms, allowing football fans around the world to join the countdown.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is expected to attract millions of fans and become one of the largest sporting events ever held in North America.
