FIFA expects 14 billion dollars income from 2027 to 2030
Vancouver: The FIFA Congress meeting took place in Vancouver, Canada, with the United Arab Emirates joining other countries. During the meeting, leaders approved the FIFA Annual Report 2025 and shared a big financial plan for the years 2027 to 2030.
FIFA says it expects to earn around 14 billion US dollars in this period. This is the highest amount ever. A large part of this money will go back into football to help grow the sport around the world.
All 211 FIFA member countries will receive funding to improve football. This support is now much bigger than before. The FIFA Forward programme alone will reach about 2.7 billion dollars. Over the past 10 years, FIFA has already invested 5 billion dollars to develop football.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the programme has made a strong impact and helped football grow in many countries.
The meeting also highlighted the upcoming FIFA World Cup in North America. FIFA says the event will bring people together from all over the world in a spirit of peace and respect.
FIFA also repeated its strong message against racism in football. Leaders spoke about the Global Stand Against Racism campaign, which started in 2024. Since then, FIFA has taken many steps to fight racism. These include new rules, special gestures at matches, and online protection for players and teams.
More than 12,000 people and over 570 teams have already been supported through FIFA’s Social Media Protection Service. Educational materials have also been shared to teach people about respect and equality in football.
Football legend George Weah said racism is like a disease and must be stopped everywhere, especially in local communities.
FIFA also confirmed future plans. Gianni Infantino said he will run again for president next year. The next FIFA Congress will be held on March 18, 2027, in Rabat, Morocco.
Before that, another online FIFA meeting will take place on November 23, 2026. In this meeting, FIFA will choose the host countries for the Women’s World Cup tournaments in 2031 and 2035.
