Fashion Designers Invited to Showcase Saudi Heritage

Saudi Arabia is calling on its creative talent to celebrate the nation’s rich heritage. The Saudi Fashion Commission has launched the Reviving Saudi Heritage competition, inviting designers to showcase their skills and reinterpret traditional elements through contemporary fashion.

Celebrating Saudi Heritage Through Fashion

Under the theme “Saudi Architecture Through the Ages,” designers are encouraged to draw inspiration from the Kingdom’s architectural heritage. The competition emphasizes the fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics, creating designs that resonate with both local and global audiences.

To add a touch of glamour and sophistication, Swarovski crystals will be incorporated into the designs. Participants will receive expert guidance from Swarovski representatives through workshops and one-on-one sessions. The winning designer will have the opportunity to further develop their skills through a training program at the prestigious Hanouf Fashion House in Jeddah.

The competition is open for submissions until August 10, with the winners announced on September 25. This initiative aligns with the Saudi Fashion Commission’s broader vision of positioning Saudi Arabia as a global fashion hub while preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.
