EMSTEEL Signs AED 135 Million Deal to Boost Steel Production in UAE

EMSTEEL Group has announced a big new deal worth AED 135 million to make its steel factory in Abu Dhabi stronger and more modern. This happened during the Middle East Iron & Steel Conference 2025, one of the biggest steel events in the region.
EMSTEEL’s CEO, Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, spoke at the conference and said that steel companies must work together to stay strong, face global challenges, and protect the environment. He said the UAE is becoming a world leader in clean and green industry, and teamwork across the region is important.
Al Remeithi said the steel market in the UAE is growing fast, with steel demand expected to rise by almost 7%. More people are building, and that means more rebar is needed. But he also warned that cheap imported steel and unfair trade can hurt local companies. He added that UAE steel makers must stay ahead by using clean energy, smart technology, and sustainable methods.

During the conference, EMSTEEL signed three important agreements:
- AED 135 million deal with Primetals Technologies
This deal will upgrade EMSTEEL’s Abu Dhabi plant with new technology. It will help the company make better and stronger steel products. - Agreement with Bekaert
This will help create new kinds of low-carbon steel wire that is better for the environment. Both companies will work together on research and new product ideas. - Agreement with Suez Canal Investment Company (SCCI)
EMSTEEL will supply sheet piles for big construction projects in the Suez Canal Zone in Egypt.
EMSTEEL is already known worldwide for clean and responsible steelmaking. Groups like ResponsibleSteel, the World Steel Association, and the World Economic Forum have praised its efforts.
The company is also the main sponsor of this year’s steel conference in Dubai, which runs from 17 to 19 November. More than 1,300 experts and leaders from around the world are attending to talk about trade, clean steel, and the future of the industry.
