Emirati Media Forum Explores How Film and E-Gaming Shape the Future of Media

Dubai: The 10th Emirati Media Forum, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, gathered top media and creative industry leaders to discuss how film and e-gaming are transforming the future of media. H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, also attended the event.
The session, titled “The Impact of Film and E-Gaming on the Future of Media,” featured Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, and Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM). The discussion was moderated by Abdullatif Alsayegh, CEO of Alsayegh Media.
Speakers highlighted the growing role of cinema and e-gaming in driving the creative economy. They emphasized how both industries create investment opportunities and enhance Dubai’s position as a leading media and entertainment hub in the region.
Belhoul spoke about the importance of using artificial intelligence to strengthen media strategies, while Kazim discussed Dubai’s ongoing efforts to promote the city globally through films and interactive gaming experiences.
The panellists agreed that Dubai aims to develop a dynamic and integrated media ecosystem that supports innovation, cultural identity, and governance. This approach, they said, reinforces Dubai’s and the UAE’s status as global leaders in the creative economy.
