Dubai, Arab Times News: Emirates Airlines has announced that it will begin operating a third daily flight to Mauritius starting on December 1, 2025. This new flight is part of the airline’s efforts to boost tourism to the beautiful island nation in the Indian Ocean.

The new flight, EK709/710, will be flown using a Boeing 777 aircraft and will work alongside Emirates’ existing daily services. Currently, Emirates operates two daily flights to Mauritius using the larger A380 aircraft, with flights EK701/702 and EK703/704.

This third daily flight, in collaboration with Air Mauritius, will offer more flexible travel times for passengers. It will be especially useful for travelers from the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas who wish to visit the island.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, explained, “The third daily flight will increase capacity by more than 30% and offer more options for both leisure and business travelers.”

Emirates has been flying to Mauritius since 2002 and has carried over 8.8 million passengers to and from the island. The airline’s flights have also significantly contributed to the economy, bringing in US$119 million directly, generating US$264 million in tourism receipts, and supporting US$530 million in tourism-related spending. Emirates’ operations have helped create 3,600 jobs in Mauritius, benefiting the local economy.
