Dubai: Emirates Airlines has announced that it will add six more weekly flights between Dubai and Cairo starting from December 1, 2025. The new flights are being added to meet the growing number of travelers during the busy winter season.

From February 1, 2026, the number of flights will increase to one extra daily service. This will make it five flights a day between Dubai and Cairo. The new schedule is designed to help passengers easily connect with other Emirates destinations around the world. The flights will use a Boeing 777 aircraft and connect smoothly to popular cities in Asia such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Egypt has always been an important destination for Emirates. Cairo was one of the airline’s first international routes when it started operations in 1986. The city already has the highest number of Emirates A380 flights in the Middle East and North Africa, outside Dubai. When the fifth daily flight starts, Cairo will become the most served city by Emirates in Africa.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said that Cairo is one of the busiest travel hubs in the region. He added that the new flights will make it easier for passengers to travel and for businesses to trade between Egypt, the UAE, and the rest of the world.

The extra flights will also increase cargo space, offering up to 300 tonnes of goods each week on the Boeing 777 aircraft. For nearly 40 years, Emirates has been a strong partner of Egypt’s tourism and trade. The airline has carried more than 10 million passengers between the two countries since its first flight in 1986.
