Eid Al-Fitr Prayer in Saudi Arabia to Be Held 15 Minutes After Sunrise

Riyadh – March 24, 2025: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, has announced that Eid Al-Fitr prayer for 1446 AH will be held in all designated prayer areas and mosques across the Kingdom.
According to the official statement, Eid prayer will take place 15 minutes after sunrise, following the Umm Al-Qura calendar. The ministry has instructed all its regional branches to make early preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful prayer experience.
Prayer services will be available in all mosques and open Eid prayer areas, except for mosques located next to main prayer grounds or those that are rarely used in some villages and centers. In these areas, residents are expected to join their local Eid prayer grounds.
The ministry also confirmed that 19,887 mosques and prayer areas across Saudi Arabia have been fully prepared. All locations have been cleaned, maintained, and equipped with carpets and services to welcome worshippers in a clean and comfortable environment.
This step is part of the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring a safe, spiritual, and well-organized Eid celebration for all residents.
