Dubai’s Crown Prince Greenlights Massive Jebel Ali Beach Development

Dubai, UAE: Dubai has unveiled a groundbreaking project – the Jebel Ali Beach Development Project – designed to transform the emirate’s coastline and create a unique recreational destination.

The project prioritizes both environmental preservation and public enjoyment. Located within the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary, the development will protect ecosystems and wildlife while offering a range of recreational activities for beachgoers.

Part of a Larger Vision

This initiative aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which aims for a 400% increase in public beach space. The Jebel Ali project itself will encompass a 6.6-kilometer stretch of coastline, featuring a 2-kilometer open swimmable beach and a 2.5-kilometer diving sports area.

The development plan incorporates three distinct zones: The Pearl, designed for family activities and leisure; The Sanctuary, a haven for turtles and natural habitats; and The Nest, an educational hub focused on environmental conservation. Each zone promises unique experiences for visitors.

Accessibility and Infrastructure

Accessibility is a key consideration. The project includes a two-lane road, ample parking, dedicated cycling and running tracks, and integrated infrastructure to ensure ease of access for all.

The project embraces technology, featuring advanced lockers, Wi-Fi services, electronic information displays, and AI-powered beach rescue systems for optimal safety.

The Jebel Ali Beach Development Project represents just one facet of Dubai’s ambitious beach development plan. This comprehensive strategy aims to achieve a 100% development rate for public beaches, a significant increase in service levels, and expanded night-swimmable zones, cycling tracks, and jogging paths. Additionally, the plan ensures inclusivity, catering to the needs of people of determination.
