Dubai to Host 10th World Free Zones Organization Congress

Dubai Set to Lead Global Free Zone Discussion

Dubai is gearing up to host the 10th World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) World Congress from September 23 to 25 at Madinat Jumeirah. This significant event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will bring together global leaders, business executives, and free zone experts to discuss the evolving landscape of economic zones.

Marking a decade of the World FZO and Dubai’s fifth time hosting the congress, this year’s theme, “Zones and the Shifting Global Economic Structures – Unlocking New Investment Avenues,” reflects the dynamic nature of free zones in today’s interconnected world.

Over 2,000 delegates from more than 100 countries are expected to attend the congress, underscoring Dubai’s position as a global economic hub. Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman of the World FZO, emphasized the event’s significance in aligning with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double foreign trade and establish new trade corridors.

The World FZO has witnessed substantial growth, with over 1,600 members from 141 countries. As free zones expand into sectors like AI, fintech, and healthcare, the organization plays a crucial role in supporting this evolution.

Dubai’s hosting of the 10th World FZO Congress reinforces its commitment to fostering global economic cooperation and driving innovation within the free zone ecosystem.

The event promises to be a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and exploring new opportunities in the world of free zones.
