Dubai Launches New Public Bus Routes to Improve Connectivity

Dubai’s public transport network has expanded with the launch of two new circular bus routes by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The new routes, DH1 and DA2, aim to improve accessibility and provide convenient travel options for residents in key areas. Route DH1 connects Dubai Hills with Equity Metro Station, while route DA2 links DAMAC Hills with Dubai Studio City.

Enhanced Weekend Service

The DH1 route operates hourly between Dubai Hills and Equity Metro Station. Weekdays see the first bus departing Dubai Hills at 7:09 am, with the last trip at 10:09 pm. Weekend service hours are extended, with the last bus departing Dubai Hills at 12:09 am.

The DA2 route runs every two hours, connecting DAMAC Hills and Dubai Studio City. The first journey starts at 5:47 am, with the last departure at 9:32 pm daily. Fares for this route are set at a flat rate of AED5 per trip.

Focus on Integration

The launch of these new routes reflects the RTA’s commitment to expanding the public bus network and strengthening its integration with other transportation options. This includes the metro, tram, and marine transport systems. Improved connectivity between these various modes of transport aims to encourage residents to choose public transportation as their preferred way to travel around Dubai.
