Dubai: The World Governments Summit 2026 has started in Dubai. The event brings together leaders and experts from around the world. They are meeting to discuss how governments can prepare for the future. Deloitte is joining the summit as a Knowledge Partner. The company is sharing new research and practical ideas.

This year, the summit runs from February 3 to 5. The theme is Shaping Future Governments. It focuses on better policies, new technology, and modern government systems. As a result, leaders can learn how to improve public services and national planning.

Deloitte is presenting reports in four key areas. First, it looks at strong national infrastructure and safety systems. Second, it studies AI-based trade models for growing economies. Third, it explains how to build smart and green cities. Finally, it explores AI-powered healthcare systems. In simple terms, the focus is on safer, smarter, and healthier societies.

Today, many countries face fast changes. For example, technology is growing quickly. At the same time, people expect better services. Because of this, governments must plan ahead. Deloitte says data and AI can help leaders make better choices. In addition, strong systems can protect the economy and the environment.

Deloitte has worked with the summit for more than 10 years. During that time, it shared ideas about digital government and smart cities. It also spoke about economic planning and AI rules. Therefore, the summit has grown into a major global platform for government innovation.

Mutasem Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, said the company is proud to continue the partnership. He explained that the summit helps governments study future risks. Moreover, it helps them build flexible laws and strong institutions. He added that technology and smart planning support inclusive growth.

Muhannad Tayem, Government and Public Services Leader at Deloitte Middle East, also spoke about the event. He said Deloitte has supported the summit for 12 years. Since then, it has promoted innovation and research-based policy ideas. This year’s theme, he noted, matches Deloitte’s regional projects. For instance, these include smart cities, strong infrastructure, and AI health systems.

Deloitte continues to advise many government bodies in the region. It supports national plans and digital transformation programs. It also works on infrastructure and large public projects. Therefore, its role in WGS 2026 shows its long-term commitment to regional growth.

This year, the summit hosts more than 60 heads of state and government. In addition, over 500 ministers are attending. There are also officials from more than 150 countries. Meanwhile, over 80 international groups and 700 global CEOs are taking part. Overall, more than 6,000 people are expected at the event.
