Dubai Hosts IUCC 2026 as Experts Highlight AI and New Advances in Urology Care

DUBAI: The sixth edition of the Interdisciplinary Urology Care Consortium (IUCC 2026) opened on Saturday at Conrad Dubai Hotel, bringing together more than 600 doctors, researchers, and healthcare experts from over 14 countries.

The two-day medical conference, taking place on June 6 and 7, is being held under the theme “Transcending Therapies, Driving Technologies.” The event features more than 76 international speakers and over 29 healthcare companies and organizations.

IUCC 2026 has become one of the region’s leading medical events focused on urology, a field of medicine that deals with the urinary system and men’s health. The conference provides a platform for doctors and specialists to share knowledge, discuss difficult medical cases, and explore the latest treatment methods.

A major focus this year is the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies in urological surgery and patient care. Experts are discussing how AI, data analysis, and modern medical tools can help doctors make better decisions and improve treatment results.

The conference also covers important topics such as kidney diseases, urological cancers, men’s health, and teamwork between different medical specialties. Organizers say these discussions help improve healthcare services and support international medical standards.

Participants are taking part in hands-on workshops that provide practical training in several specialized procedures. These include urinary incontinence treatment, bladder cancer care, penile prosthesis surgery, kidney stone removal techniques, laparoscopic suturing, and advanced endourology procedures.

The scientific program includes debates on current challenges in urology, men’s health, female urological surgery, family medicine, enlarged prostate treatment, minimally invasive surgeries, and new medical technologies.

Dr. Yasser Farahat, Co-Chair of IUCC 2026 and Executive Director of the Arab Association of Urology UAE, said the conference has grown into an international platform where leading specialists exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in urological care.

He said this year’s event focuses on combining scientific innovation with daily clinical practice while preparing healthcare professionals for future challenges in the field.

According to Dr. Farahat, technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotic surgery, and digital health data analysis are becoming increasingly important in improving treatment accuracy and patient outcomes.

The conference program features seven scientific sessions, more than nine practical workshops, over 25 scientific poster presentations, and 14 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points approved by Dubai Health Authority. Attendees are also exploring AI-powered learning tools, virtual reality, augmented reality applications, and live demonstrations of the latest medical technologies.

Ambassador AbdulSalam AlMadani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, said the event plays an important role in shaping global discussions on urological surgery through scientific cooperation and evidence-based healthcare decisions.
