Dubai: Dubai Future Foundation has released a new report called Global Solutions and Shared Futures. The report is a special edition of its yearly study, The Global 50 Report, and focuses on how countries can work together to build a better future for everyone.
The report highlights 14 important global opportunities that can turn big ideas into real solutions. These ideas aim to help people around the world live better, safer, and healthier lives.
The selected opportunities were chosen from more than 200 future ideas studied in Global 50 reports published between 2022 and 2025. The goal of this special report is to show the best ways countries, scientists, businesses, and communities can cooperate and take action together.
Experts from the UAE and many other countries helped create the report. These experts include researchers, innovators, and future thinkers. They shared ideas about what is needed to make these opportunities real, how long they may take, and what rules or systems should be in place.
Khalfan Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Future Foundation, said the report shows how important global teamwork has become. He explained that the future of humanity depends on countries and institutions working together to solve today’s problems and prepare for tomorrow.
He added that Dubai continues to bring together global experts to design future solutions. Dubai aims to be a global meeting point where ideas turn into action and where countries cooperate to protect future generations.
The report also explains 10 major global trends that will shape the future. These include new materials, fast-growing data, energy limits, digital worlds, smart robots, automation, health, nutrition, and how humans will live and work in the future.
The 14 global opportunities in the report cover many areas. They include setting shared rules to protect outer space, creating global funds to solve long-term world problems, helping small businesses work across borders, improving satellite internet access, and using artificial intelligence in ways that serve the public good.
Other ideas focus on fighting climate change, protecting genetic data, improving happiness and quality of life, and creating safe systems to share data worldwide for learning and innovation.
The report also looks at how countries can plan 100 years ahead to restore the planet’s health and how diplomacy can use future thinking to prevent problems before they happen.
Contributors to the report include well-known experts such as Habiba Al Mar’ashi from the Emirates Environmental Group, researchers from universities in Australia and the United States, leaders from global foundations, space law experts, economists, and authors who study future economies and innovation.
Global Solutions and Shared Futures sends a clear message. The world’s future can only be built through cooperation, shared responsibility, and smart planning. By working together, nations can create a safer, fairer, and more hopeful future for everyone.
