Dubai Financial Market and SIX Partner to Enhance Market Accessibility
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and SIX, the Swiss Financial Market Infrastructure Group, have signed a collaborative agreement to improve market accessibility for investors. This partnership signifies a commitment to mutual growth and innovation within the global financial landscape.
The agreement focuses on creating opportunities for dual/cross-listings, simplifying share transfers between exchanges, and facilitating cross-border transactions. This will enhance fungibility of shares and broaden market access for participants in both regions. SIX and Dubai CSD will work together to establish links between their Central Securities Depositories (CSDs).
“The strategic partnership between DFM and SIX exemplifies our shared commitment to driving innovation and fostering growth in the global financial landscape,” said Hamed Ali, CEO of DFM and Nasdaq Dubai. “Through collaborative initiatives, we aim to unlock new opportunities, enhance market efficiency, and strengthen ties between our vibrant financial ecosystems.”
Both DFM and SIX will introduce companies to the advantages of each market, providing them with access to a wider range of investors and growth opportunities. Collaboration will extend to areas like market data and post-trade services, further propelling market development.
