Dubai Customs Enhances Airport Readiness for 3 Million Summer Travelers

DUBAI: Dubai Customs has increased its readiness as nearly three million passengers are expected to travel through Dubai’s airports during the first half of July.
The authority has introduced an operational plan with Dubai Airports and its partners to ensure fast, smooth, and safe travel. It is using 19 advanced baggage screening systems and 77 inspection devices, while reducing manual baggage screening time to just seven seconds without affecting security.
Passengers can bring personal gifts worth up to AED3,000 duty-free if they meet UAE customs rules. Dubai Customs is also developing dedicated pet inspection rooms at Terminals 1, 2, and 3 to improve services for travelers with pets.
Officials said these efforts support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for tourism and business.
