Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival starts today with ladies’ race

Dubai: The Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Festival begins today at Dubai International Endurance City in Saih Al Salam. The first race is for women riders.

This is the 18th edition of the festival. It is organized by Dubai Equestrian Club with support from the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation. The event is one of the biggest in the endurance racing season. The festival includes four races. Each race is 120 kilometers long and is made for different groups of riders.

The opening race today is for ladies. After that, there will be a race for private stables on Tuesday. On Wednesday, there will be the Al Yamamah mares race. The final and most important race, the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup, will take place on Friday, March 27. This main race is supported by Emaar.

The total prize money for the festival is more than 5 million dirhams. In the ladies’ race and the mares race, prizes will be given up to 17th place. In the private stables race and the main race, prizes will go up to 30th place.

Last year, rider Majid Jamal Al Muhairi won the main title. He rode a horse named Evita Larzac for F3 Stables. He finished the race in 4 hours, 10 minutes, and 51 seconds, with an average speed of 28.7 kilometers per hour. The festival is expected to attract many riders and fans from across the UAE and beyond.
