Dubai has taken an important step to support young talent in film and television. This came after a successful training programme held with leading global partners.

The Dubai Films and Games Commission, part of the Dubai Media Council, completed a one-week Talent Development Programme. The programme was organised with the UK’s National Film and Television School and Prime Video, Amazon’s global streaming service.

The main goal of the programme was to help writers and producers in Dubai develop strong TV ideas. At the same time, it aimed to prepare these ideas for international audiences. As a result, Dubai continues to build strong links with the global film and TV industry.

During the programme, young writers and producers worked closely with industry experts. First, they learned how to shape their stories. Then, they improved their scripts to meet global standards. In addition, the training included classes, workshops, and personal mentoring sessions. Participants also took part in pitching sessions, where they shared their ideas with professionals.

Moreover, the programme focused on building strong characters and clear storylines. Participants also learned about marketing, audience needs, and how TV projects are produced with partners from other countries.

By the end of the week, participants created clear and professional pitches. Because of this, they felt more confident presenting their projects to global decision-makers.

Ayesha bin Kalli, Head of Talent Development at the Dubai Films and Games Commission, said the programme shows Dubai’s strong support for creative talent. She added that such training helps local creatives gain skills and confidence to compete worldwide.

Meanwhile, the programme also featured a panel discussion on the future of TV series in the Middle East and North Africa. Industry experts shared insights on trends, challenges, and new opportunities in the region.

Overall, through partnerships with global institutions and media leaders, the Dubai Films and Games Commission continues to strengthen Dubai’s creative sector. Therefore, Dubai is moving closer to becoming a global hub for film, television, and digital content.
