Dubai Arabian Horse Championship 2026 begins with strong global turnout
DUBAI: The 23rd Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship began at Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together top Arabian horses from around the world.
A total of 155 horses from 12 countries are taking part in the event. On the first day, 18 horses qualified for the final rounds.
The championship once again shows Dubai’s strong place in the world of horse sports. It also highlights the UAE’s success in hosting big international events in a safe, well-organized, and modern way.
Ziad Galadari, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, said the large number of international participants reflects global confidence in the UAE. He said the country continues to support major sports events while also protecting the rich heritage of the purebred Arabian horse.
The event opened smoothly, thanks to careful planning and fast preparation. Exhibition halls were quickly turned into professional competition arenas. Organizers also followed international standards for horse transport, care, and animal welfare.
This high level of preparation helped the competition begin without problems and kept the championship among the leading events on the global horse show calendar.
Experts and participants praised the event for improving year after year. Many described it as one of the world’s top Arabian horse competitions.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship remains an important platform to present elite horses, support sporting cooperation, and strengthen Dubai’s image as a global center for equestrian excellence.
