DP World ILT20 Gears Up for Season 3 with Star Power Retention
The DP World ILT20 cricket tournament is set to return in 2025 with a bang, as all six franchises retain key players for the upcoming season. This strategic move ensures a star-studded tournament featuring some of the biggest names in T20 cricket.
Season 3 Packed with T20 Stars
The retained players’ list boasts a total of 69 top cricketers, including 26 who participated in the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Fans can expect explosive batting displays from Andre Russell, David Warner, and Kieron Pollard, while bowling firepower will be provided by the likes of Muhammad Amir, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Dwayne Bravo.
UAE Talent on Display
While global stars dominate the headlines, each franchise has also retained two UAE players. This commitment to nurturing local talent provides a platform for rising stars to showcase their skills alongside established international players. Following the upcoming ILT20 Development Tournament in October, each team can further bolster their UAE contingent by signing additional players.
With the player retention window closed, teams can now focus on acquiring new talent during the ongoing Player Acquisition Window, which lasts until September 15th. The anticipation builds as cricket fans eagerly await the complete roster of players for the upcoming season. Season 3 of the DP World ILT20 kicks off on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, promising another exciting chapter in the development of this high-profile cricket league.
