Day Two of LEAP 2026 Showcases the Use of Artificial Intelligence Across Vital Sectors

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 1, 2026: The second day of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh showcased how artificial intelligence is being deployed across a wide range of vital sectors, from intelligent prosthetics and humanoid robots to satellite-based AI technologies and advanced computing infrastructure, highlighting the transition of AI from experimentation to real-world implementation across industries, public services and everyday life.
The conference, taking place alongside DeepFest, the event dedicated to artificial intelligence and deep technologies, featured a series of demonstrations from leading global technology companies. These included Chinese robotics company AGIBOT, which showcased humanoid robotics technologies, and US-based Supermicro, which presented advanced computing solutions designed to support AI infrastructure.
The demonstrations also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s ongoing digital transformation and the ways in which advanced technologies are being deployed at the national level.
A major milestone was demonstrated by Tawakkalna, Saudi Arabia’s national comprehensive application supported by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). During the conference, 62 government entities were recognised for successfully integrating their services with the platform, completing the Kingdom’s full integration target for 2026.
The achievement further strengthens the position of a platform that now serves more than 36 million users, processes more than 85 million transactions every day, and provides access to over 1,700 government services.

As part of the 2026 integration milestone, 926 services belonging to the 62 government entities were consolidated into a single interface. The achievement reflects the growing scale and maturity of Saudi Arabia’s digital government ecosystem while making government services easier to access for citizens, residents and visitors.
Mohammed Zuhri, Regional Director at Supermicro, said that as organisations move from experimenting with artificial intelligence toward deploying it at scale, they require powerful, efficient and adaptable computing environments capable of supporting rapidly evolving workloads.
He added that Supermicro continues to invest in the region in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, strengthening its regional capabilities and investing in human talent to support customers as AI adoption continues to accelerate.
Another major demonstration was the bionic prosthetic hand developed by US-based PSYONIC, an advanced prosthetic device designed to learn from and adapt to the movements of its user.
Dr. Adeel Akhtar, CEO of PSYONIC, explained that the objective is for the prosthetic hand to feel more like a natural extension of the user’s body rather than simply a tool. He added that collecting movement data from users can also help teach robots how to perform the same tasks.
Annabelle Mander, Executive Vice President at Tahaluf, said the conference reflects a clear shift from conversations about what artificial intelligence could potentially do toward demonstrations of what AI is already doing in the real world.
She noted that exhibitors at the conference are presenting technologies designed to solve real-world challenges across areas including robotics, healthcare, space technology and digital infrastructure.

Discussions throughout the day also focused on the role of emerging technologies in driving economic growth, strengthening national capabilities and accelerating innovation across the space, healthcare and advanced computing infrastructure sectors.
Zhang Min, Vice President at Chinese robotics company Unitree, said the industry is witnessing a transition from artificial intelligence existing on screens to AI operating in the physical world.
He said the company is focused on making advanced robots more accessible, practical and scalable, adding that Saudi Arabia is emerging as one of the most promising markets for the next generation of intelligent robotics.
This transition was also reflected throughout the DeepFest programme.
Abel Deng, Head of Operations for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific at AGIBOT, described embodied AI robots as the next revolution in how people interact with technology, following the eras of keyboards and smartphones.
He explained that AGIBOT combines perception, cognitive capabilities and action within a single system, enabling robots to operate more naturally in real-world environments.
The momentum witnessed during the second day of LEAP 2026 reflected a broader transformation across the global technology industry, as industry leaders increasingly focus on turning breakthrough innovations into practical applications, commercial partnerships and long-term economic impact.
