Communications Minister Meets Saudi Innovators and Researchers in London

London: Abdullah Alswaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, recently met with a group of Saudi innovators and postgraduate students in London. This meeting was part of his visit to the United Kingdom and aimed to inspire the Kingdom’s next generation of scientists, researchers, and innovators.

During the gathering, the minister emphasized the importance of supporting innovation and technology to help drive the Kingdom’s future economy, particularly through advancements in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation. The meeting focused on aligning the efforts of innovators and researchers with Saudi Arabia’s national priorities, including research, development, and innovation that contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Haitham bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali, Dr. Sultan Binsaeed, Acting Director General of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, and other key leaders from the Kingdom’s innovation ecosystem were also in attendance.

Discussions at the meeting highlighted the critical role of Saudi talents abroad in contributing to the country’s growing innovation ecosystem. It also focused on how these talents can represent the Kingdom at international scientific events, supporting the nation’s broader ambitions for global leadership in science and technology.
