Celebrating H.E. Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi on Women’s Day

As President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Sheikha Bodour has transformed AUS into a beacon of academic excellence and innovation. Simultaneously, her leadership at the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has driven sustainable economic growth, cementing Sharjah’s position as a hub for development and investment.

Sheikha Bodour made history as the first Arab and second-ever female president of the International Publishers Association (IPA), a testament to her global influence in the publishing industry. Her visionary initiatives include:

• Founding Kalimat Group, a leading Arabic publishing house
• Establishing the Emirates Publishers Association, supporting the UAE’s publishing sector
• Creating PublisHer, an initiative empowering women in publishing by addressing gender disparities and fostering leadership
