Car Fare Group gives AED3 million to Edge of Life campaign to help hungry children

Dubai: Car Fare Group has donated AED3 million to the Edge of Life campaign. The campaign aims to save five million children from hunger around the world.

The Edge of Life campaign was launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The goal is to raise at least AED1 billion. This money will be used to create long-term programs that fight hunger and help children live healthy lives.

The campaign is part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. It also spreads the values of kindness, sharing and standing together to help people in need. The campaign is working with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and Action Against Hunger to reach children in the poorest communities.

Since it began, many government offices, private companies, business leaders and members of the public have joined the campaign. This strong support shows how Ramadan charity drives in the UAE have become some of the largest humanitarian efforts in the world. It also highlights the UAE’s leading role in helping people in need.

Jasbir Bassi, Chairperson of Car Fare Group, said the Edge of Life campaign shows the UAE’s strong promise to protect children from hunger, especially in places where families struggle to find food. She said the campaign reflects the Emirati values of giving and caring for others.

She added that when the government and the community work together, they can save millions of children from hunger. She explained that helping children get healthy food is not only about today, but also about building a safer and better future for everyone.

The Edge of Life campaign is still accepting donations from companies and individuals.
