Bodour Al Qasimi Meets with Sharjah Book Authority to Discuss Upcoming Initiatives

Sharjah, UAE: Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah, chaired a meeting in Sharjah to discuss the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) and other initiatives planned by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA). With SIBF just five months away, Al Qasimi expressed her enthusiasm about the event and the various projects spearheaded by SBA, under the leadership of CEO Ahmed Bin Rakkad Al Ameri.

During the meeting, Al Qasimi highlighted the significant impact of SBA’s diverse portfolio on the entire book value chain, from empowering writers to promoting literacy and accelerating the book trade. She conveyed her appreciation to the SBA team for their comprehensive update on the range of programs and projects they have lined up for the year.

Al Qasimi also praised the SBA’s unwavering commitment to books, reading, and Sharjah’s standing as an international publishing powerhouse. The meeting underscored the collaborative efforts to further enhance Sharjah’s cultural and literary landscape.
