Asia’s 2024 Climate Report Launched to Help Fight Weather ChangesA new report called State of the Climate in Asia 2024 was shared in Jeddah by Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam, the head of Asia’s branch of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
This big event was attended by WMO’s Secretary-General Celeste Saulo and many other experts from around the world. The report explains how the weather in Asia is changing fast and how it affects people’s lives.
Dr. Ghulam said the report is not just science—it helps leaders understand what’s really happening to our planet. It shows how countries in Asia can work together, prepare better for extreme weather, and invest more in climate safety.
He added that even though Asia faces many weather problems like heat, floods, and water shortages, the region has the power to handle them if everyone works together.
This report gives clear facts and advice to help countries make smarter choices, protect people, and support a greener future.
