Abha: The Aseer Innovates 2025 Hackathon finished on Saturday evening in Abha after three exciting days of competition. The event was organized by the Aseer Development Authority together with King Khalid University and other partners.

More than 30 teams joined, including young students, entrepreneurs, and innovators from different schools and universities across Saudi Arabia. The hackathon took place at the university’s Exhibition and Conference Center and gave participants a chance to share new projects and smart solutions.

The competition focused on five important areas: investment, transport and infrastructure, design, smart tourism, and protecting the environment. Each team worked on creating prototypes and ideas that can help improve life in the Kingdom.

Eng. Hashim bin Abdullah Al-Dabbagh, Acting CEO of the Aseer Development Authority, said the hackathon was an important step to support the youth. He explained that it helps turn their creative ideas into real projects that can benefit society.

He also said the results show the amazing talent of Saudi youth and match the goals of the “Qimam and Shiyam” strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. The aim is to make Aseer a top place for living, investment, and tourism worldwide.
