Artificial Intelligence Can Help Build a Better Future

Brasília: The UAE took part in the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum held in Brasília, Brazil. Countries talked about big topics like climate change, peace, new technology, and working together as parliaments.

Sara Mohammad Falaknaz, a member of the UAE’s Federal National Council (FNC), spoke about Artificial Intelligence (AI). She said AI can help countries grow in a smart and fair way but it must be used wisely.

Falaknaz explained that the UAE is leading the way in using AI responsibly. She shared examples like:

  • The UAE was the first to appoint a Minister for Artificial Intelligence.
  • It launched the UAE AI Strategy 2031 to improve the economy and government services.
  • The country also started the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.

She said that laws and rules are needed to protect people’s rights, privacy, and safety when using AI. She also called for stronger global teamwork to make sure technology helps everyone and no one is left behind.
