American University of Sharjah Launches Three New Research Centers Led by Bodour Al Qasimi
Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), proudly announced the launch of three new research centers. These centers expand the university’s research capabilities in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and energy. They will operate within the relevant academic departments of AUS.
The first center, the Energy, Water, and Sustainable Environment Research Center, resides within the American University of Sharjah College of Engineering. It tackles sustainability challenges aligned with the UAE’s ambitious Net Zero 2050 goal and the National Water and Energy Demand Management Program.
The AUS School of Business Administration houses the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainable Development. This center supports the National Entrepreneurship Agenda by strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Finally, the Materials Research Center, located in the AUS College of Arts and Sciences, focuses on advancements in materials science, energy, and environmental sustainability. Its initiatives align with the UAE Economic Vision 2030.
Launched at the American University of Sharjah Innovation Expo: Future of Research and Technology, these centers represent a significant step forward for AUS. They demonstrate the university’s commitment to addressing real-world challenges through cutting-edge research and innovation. This strategic move positions AUS at the forefront of research excellence, fostering tangible solutions for the future.
