ADNOC says it remains committed to meeting customer needs despite attacks

ABU DHABI: ADNOC has said it remains committed to meeting the needs of its customers despite what it described as an exceptionally difficult operating environment.

The UAE energy company said its people, ships and assets have continued to face attacks during the ongoing conflict.

According to ADNOC, 15 of its vessels have been hit by missiles and drones while passing through the Strait of Hormuz since the conflict began. Three of those vessels were attacked this week alone.

The company said the attacks have caused one death and injured 20 crew members.

ADNOC said it is working closely with the relevant authorities and is taking all necessary steps to protect its employees, vessels, facilities and operations.

The company added that it is also working to meet customer requirements as much as possible despite the challenges.

ADNOC stressed that commercial ships must be allowed to travel safely through international waterways without threats, harassment or attacks.

It also called for freedom of navigation and the safe and uninterrupted movement of commercial shipping to be respected and protected.
