Abu Dhabi ranked world’s safest city for 10th year in a row

ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi has once again been named the world’s safest city, keeping the top position for the tenth year in a row since 2017. The ranking was released by Numbeo, one of the world’s largest online databases that tracks cost of living and quality of life in cities around the globe.
The new report shows that Abu Dhabi continues to lead the world in safety, security and quality of life. This achievement also confirms the emirate’s strong reputation as one of the best places to live, work and invest.
Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi said the success comes from wise leadership and the full support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He praised the nonstop efforts of Abu Dhabi Police teams who work day and night to keep the city safe.
He explained that the police use modern technology, artificial intelligence and smart systems to prevent crime before it happens. He also said that cooperation between the police and the community plays a key role in protecting society and keeping Abu Dhabi stable and secure.
Al Muhairi added that the safety strategy focuses on training people, building strong partnerships with other institutions and raising public awareness. These efforts follow global best practices and help residents feel safe and confident in their daily lives.
Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, said the ranking reflects a leadership vision that puts people’s safety first. He noted that this vision has helped create a safe and attractive environment for families, workers, businesses and visitors.
