Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef inaugurated the third Made in Saudi Expo 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham. The event is organized by the Saudi Export Development Authority through the Made in Saudi Program and was attended by Syria’s Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar.
The Syrian Arab Republic is participating as the Guest of Honor at the exhibition, which has drawn wide participation from government entities, private sector organizations, national manufacturers, and leading figures from the industrial sector. The expo highlights Saudi-made products and reflects the growing strength of the Kingdom’s industrial base.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Alkhorayef said the Made in Saudi Expo is an important platform to showcase the progress of Saudi industries, the high quality of local products, and their ability to compete in regional and global markets. He noted that the exhibition also helps companies build strategic partnerships that support industrial growth and expansion.
The minister explained that the Made in Saudi Program, launched in 2021 under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, aims to position Saudi Arabia as a leading industrial nation. He added that this goal is being achieved by building trust in Saudi products, supporting local talent and innovation, promoting national brands, and helping companies expand into international markets.
Alkhorayef highlighted the strong performance of Saudi non-oil exports, which reached SAR 515 billion in 2024. He said the first half of 2025 recorded a historic figure of SAR 307 billion, marking the highest value ever achieved in a six-month period. These results show the important role of the industrial sector in diversifying the Saudi economy in line with Vision 2030.
The ceremony also emphasized Syria’s role as Guest of Honor, with more than 25 Syrian companies taking part in the exhibition. Their participation aims to strengthen industrial cooperation and integration between the two countries and reflects the strong brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Syria.
The Made in Saudi Expo 2025 also features more than 25 specialized workshops, while over 50 memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed during the event, supporting investment, exports, and industrial collaboration.
